CAM-I is the consortium of companies that together in the mid 1980's created what is today called Activity Based Costing. Several professors subsequently popularized ABC as a result of their books and articles. These professors were part of CAM-I. CAM-I continues as a consortium of companies that strive to take ABM to the next level. They are involved with:
